Pricing

At Kav Counseling & Consulting we strive to provide accessible therapy and consulting services to artists and creatives. In our attempt to do this we accept various insurances and have adopted a sliding scale model that we feel is essential given the financial circumstances faced by many people pursuing careers in creative fields. The sliding scale model involves setting fees according to income so that rates for those in higher income brackets support those in lower brackets. This allows us to offer therapy to clients who cannot afford our services while not compromising the quality or frequency of services we are able to provide.

 

INSURANCE 

Kav Counseling currently accepts Aetna insurance in New York State for medically necessary psychotherapy.

 

SLIDING SCALE 

We offer all of our services at sliding scale rates based on income and current life circumstances. Initial intake sessions are $75 and our sliding scale ranges from $130-$420 per session. Our Sober Train Recovery Group is $40-$150 per session. 

 

CREATIVE PROFESSIONALS COUNSELING FUND 

Kav Counseling is in partnership with Creative Professionals Counseling Fund 501(c)(3). CPCF was founded by artists and industry veterans to help creatives access mental health therapy, business coaching, and legal aid — without red tape or unaffordable costs by issuing grants that subsidize our services.
